The Alpine R2-S65C is a Next-Generation R-Series 6.5″ 2-Way Component Speaker System engineered to deliver Hi-Res Audio Certified sound performance. Packing 100W RMS power handling, specialized high-frequency tweeters, and custom inline crossover networks, it delivers clean, accurate, and high-fidelity acoustic reproduction for true audiophiles.

 WOOFER / MID-BASS DRIVER (6.5″ / 16.5cm)

• Speaker Size & Depth: Standard 6.5-inch (16.5cm) door woofer with a 6.3cm (2.5″) mounting depth and 13.5cm cutout diameter, designed to seamlessly fit into most stock car door locations.

• Glass-Fiber Reinforced Cone: Built with an all-new ultra-stiff yet lightweight composite cone that moves with minimum latency. This rigidity eliminates cone flex under heavy volume, preventing sound distortion.

• HAMR Surround (High-Amplitude Multi-Roll): Alpine’s patented multi-roll rubber surround allows maximum cone movement (excursion) while keeping the movement perfectly linear. The result is exceptionally deep, punchy, and controlled mid-bass response.

• Upgraded Ferrite Motor: Uses a larger, high-flux ferrite magnet structure to supply stable power to the voice coil for authoritative mid-bass output.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE TWEETER (1″ / 2.5cm Magnesium Dome)

• Magnesium Hard-Dome Design: Unlike standard silk or plastic dome tweeters, Alpine uses lightweight Magnesium hard domes to effortlessly reproduce high-frequency audio up to 40,000 Hz (40 kHz) without acoustic harshness.

• Swivel & Stealth Mounting Options: Designed with a 15° swivel-mount mechanism inside a threaded housing, allowing installers to point high frequencies directly at the driver’s listening position for maximum soundstaging. The outer trim can also be removed for direct installation into factory OEM A-pillar or door tweeter pods.

IN-LINE PASSIVE CROSSOVER NETWORKS (How It Works)

• How Crossovers Work: A crossover acts as an audio traffic controller. It receives the full-range audio signal from the amplifier/head unit and splits it: sending only low and mid frequencies to the 6.5″ woofer, and routing high frequencies to the tweeter.

• Precision Signal Routing: Uses a high-pass filter for the tweeter and low-pass slope for the woofer, ensuring neither driver is pushed beyond its efficient range. This prevents speaker burn-outs and reduces total system distortion.

• Level Adjustment (-3dB / 0dB / +3dB): Includes built-in jumper settings to attenuate or boost the tweeter output level based on speaker placement and cabin acoustic preferences.

• Frequency Range (65Hz – 40,000Hz): Covers everything from deep vocal lows (65Hz) up to ultra-high frequency harmonics (40kHz) required for Hi-Res Audio playback.

• Power Handling: 100 Watts RMS continuous power handling (300 Watts Peak), allowing the speakers to handle high output from aftermarket 2-channel or 4-channel power amplifiers without thermal stress.

• 4-Ohm Impedance & 88dB Sensitivity: Optimized 4-ohm load with 88dB SPL sensitivity to work efficiently with both high-output OEM systems and amplified setups.
